Firefighters for Healing
Thr Firefighters for Healing Foundation helps assist burn victims in getting medical treatments and resources they need after being injured. Jacob LaFerriere was nominated as a finalist for America's Most Wanted Allstar. "I represent all first responders who risk their lives every day to protect others. I decided, up front, that if I received any proceeds, I would donate them to help other burn or injured victims." Jacob said. Through our own experience, we know first hand what burn victims go through. The intense pain, skin grafts, therapy, long recovery process and depression; their lives will forever be changed.Captain Dennis Mack, FMO Charles Rucker, and Firefighter Jacob LaFerriere are Co-founders of Firefighters for Healing along with our amazing volunteers..

Justin Reid is a member of Minneapolis Fire Fighters IAFF Local 82, which supports Nation’s Bravest. Local 82 advocates Firefighters for Healing, an organization founded by three firefighters, one of whom jumped from a third story window during a house fire. He suffered severe burns to both his hands and as a result, understands what burn victims endure long after the physical injury has healed. Firefighters for Healing lends support to these victims during their long recovery process.
Mr. Minneapolis is originally from Denver, where he graduated from the University of Colorado with a degree in Environmental Biology. He moved to Minnesota where he currently lives with his wife, and two children. He is part of the urban search and rescue (USAR) team, Minnesota Task Force 1, and Honor Guard.
